Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapist (FCP) to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about providing high quality care.
PICS has a Clinical MSK FCP Lead in post to ensuring its FCPs are fulfilling the requirements of the NHS England FCP Roadmap. We are committed to further the development of FCPs as specialist MSK professionals in primary care.
You will be based within Ashfield North Primary Care Network (PCN) covering:
- Brierley Park Medica Group Dual site practice
Skegby Site
- Kings Medical Centre
- Willowbrook Medical Practice
- Woodlands Medical Practice
Ashfield North PCN has a patient population in excess of 52,00. You will be part of a wider team of First Contact Physiotherapists and supported by our Clinical Lead First Contact Physiotherapist who is on the PICS leadership team.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work as an autonomous specialist MSK practitioner in providing and delivering musculoskeletal physiotherapy assessments and treatment plans
- To act independently to assess, analyse and provide a clinical diagnosis for individual patients, including those presenting with complex conditions, to determine their need for further MSK or non-MSK intervention. This should involve an understanding of when to refer to other services such as diagnostics, pathology, T&O, medication reviews, pain management, rheumatology, community physiotherapy and injection therapy
- Write contemporaneous clinical notes using SystmOne, Arden's Templates and provide advice and support with additional electronic software (eg. PhysioTec, AccuRx etc) in line with professional standards
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Registered
- Minimum of three years musculoskeletal experience
