Job summary

This role will require a combination of skill and experience to work at a senior level within KFM and with our external clients / stakeholders across multiple disciplines to find solutions to complex business issues. Using procurement and contract management skills to maximize business opportunities, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve the business outcomes required. Fully accountable and responsible for the management of the business information and data systems & infrastructure relating to Procurement, Supply Chain and Management Information & Reporting, ensuring that all designated systems are available and performing to the agreed standard. No direct budgetary responsibility but will oversee a large portfolio of procurement spend, providing oversight and support of client procurement activities.

Main duties of the job

Managing a portfolio of complex and high-profile procurement projects and contracts. Working extensively across the business with a wide variety of senior stakeholders. This is a hands-on role. Manage internal operations and resources to enable the delivery of the vision set out by the Head of Procurement, assigned strategic projects, saving targets, day to day operations and financial and quality targets. Lead commercial reviews, negotiate, re-negotiate and draft contracts for cost optimisation and deliver savings targets to support the performance improvement programme. Utilising commercial acumen to deliver strategic projects and targets. Provide strategic procurement leadership, advice and expertise. Provide proactive and insightful analysis, to enable evidence based decision making. Build professional relationships, initiate and lead change to enable all team to deliver savings and quality targets. Implement strategic sourcing with strong stakeholder management to maintain the lowest costs and strengthen existing relationships with key suppliers. Candidate Profile:

  • Educatedtodegreelevel(orequivalent)
  • MCIPS qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Successfultrackrecordofdeliveringcostreductionsandservice improvement
  • ExpertiseinCategoryandContractmanagement of large and complex projects
  • Expertise in Public Procurement Regulations, Procurement Act 2023 and Provider Selection Regime
  • Excellent Stakeholder management
  • Proactive, organised and enthusiastic
