Job summary

We have an opportunity for a First Contact Practitioner to join their team of staff.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Main duties of the job

Duties of this role include:

  • Undertake comprehensive MSK assessments of routine and complex patients in a primary care setting, using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses, management plans, and prognoses, and initiate appropriate interventions including self-management strategies.
  • Work alongside Advanced Practice Physiotherapists (APPs), GPs, MSK Podiatrists, and other clinicians as part of the integrated MSK service.
  • Participate in cross-discipline referral triage and contribute to care navigation, ensuring patients are seen by the right professional, in the right setting, at the right time.
  • Contribute to ongoing development and innovation within the MSK service, including pathway development and use of technology to enhance access and outcomes.
  • Actively engage in in-service training (IST), clinical supervision, and peer review processes to maintain and improve service quality.
