We have an opportunity for a Deputy Clinical Services Manager - Theatre to join their team of staff in the Theatres department. This role will form part of the Theatre management team across both The Chiltern Hospital and Shelburne Hospital.

Applicants must be able to travel to the sister site - The Shelburne Hospital in High Wycombe - for dual-site working.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead by example to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care within the theatre department.

  • Provide day-to-day clinical leadership in your area of specialism, ensuring that best practices are followed at all times.

  • Support and guide staff to maintain high standards of patient care and technical competence throughout the perioperative pathway.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving the patient experience through compassionate and respectful care.

  • Act as an advocate for patients, raising and addressing any safeguarding or quality concerns.

  • Ensure all team members are supported in delivering patient-centred care that promotes dignity, safety, and empathy.

  • Support the development of the theatre team by mentoring junior staff and supporting their clinical competencies.

  • Assist the Clinical Services Manager Theatre in the daily management of the department, including planning, rostering, and supporting service delivery.

  • Maintain effective communication within the theatre team and across multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care delivery.
