Main duties of the job

Duties of this role include:

Lead the delivery of safe and effective care to oncology patients, including those undergoingchemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, radiotherapy, and palliative care. Ensure adherence to national oncology guidelines (e.g., UKONS, NICE), protocols, andtreatment pathways.

Oversee compliance with all regulatory, professional, and organisational standards, includingthose from CQC, HIS, HIW, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and mentorship for nurses and support staff,promoting ongoing professional development.

Work with consultants, pharmacy, and external partners to streamline services and enhancethe patient experience. Promote a compassionate and personalised approach to care, respecting the physical,emotional, and psychosocial needs of cancer patients and their families.
