Job summary

Salary: up to £31,106 (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Registered Nurse - Pre-Assessment

This is a full time role on a term time contract for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern, over 7 day period.

As the service expands we will be looking to working 7 days a week and as a pre-op nurse you will be required to manage your own workload, refer patients to the Anesthetist and liaise with other services if needed. Experience in pre-operative assessment is desired but not essential as a full training package will be delivered

Main duties of the job

  • To ensure that standards of patient care are consistently maintained at all times in accordance with agreed operational policies and procedures.
  • Working to maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users.
  • As a skilled member of the nursing team promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors.
  • Be an advocate for patient care, searching for ways to improve the value and effectiveness of care and services delivered.
  • Encouraging the development of research and audit based clinical practice.
