WHAT DO WE DO IN CIRCLE DECONTAMINATION?
We
are responsible for the provision of sterile equipment, instrumentation and
decontaminated flexible endoscopes for use in surgical and interventional
procedures.

WHAT DO YOU DO?
Your reporting line will be to the Director of
Decontamination and you will be supporting this job role plus unit managers and
the procurement team to develop and execute various instrumentation and
endoscopy projects throughout CHG.
Develop and drive forward both power tools and
instrumentation loan hubs throughout CHG.
Work with and support various stakeholders
across CHG including but not limited to Decontamination, Hospital Management
and Clinical teams, Procurement, Instrumentation, Endoscopy, Suppliers, and
other CHG colleagues to promote and introduce standardised instrumentation tray
sets and endoscopy approaches across CHG owned hospitals.
Support the decontamination units to provide
information to the procurement team relating to decontaminations
instrumentation and endoscopy capital asset acquisition requirements in order
for the procurement team to lead the programme by supporting and managing the
delivery of the corporate instrumentation and endoscopy budget plans, both
current and forecast, as well as develop rational and supportable capital
applications proposals. Keep a tight
control on capital budgets both in terms of timely delivery and cost control.
Act as the Decontaminations subject expert
for any instrumentation, tray set and endoscopy asset enquiries, needs and
requirements.
Actively participate in the development and
implementation of all aspects of the instrumentation, power tools and endoscopy
loan hub projects across the UK, as well as various other projects throughout
CHG with the main aim of standardizing instrumentation tray sets, power tools
and endoscopy across CHG owned hospitals.
Work closely with Decontaminations Instrumentation
Leads at each sterile services unit to manage any day-to-day instrumentation
and tray set matters.
Work with clinical users across the business
in order to (where possible) standardise the contents of instrumentation tray
sets to facilitate enhanced access to, and sharing of, key tray sets across CHG
hospitals to maximise utilisation and efficiencies.
Work closely with Decontaminations Data and
Reporting Analyst to ensure that all instrument tray sets and endoscopy data
dashboards and reports required by the business as a whole are up to date and
readily available to stakeholders
Assist procurement with the development of the
instrumentation and endoscopy capital budget plans for the current and future
years to identify appropriate items for inclusion and prioritisation, looking
at end of life equipment and additional suppliers.
Support procurement to ensure that the current
instrumentation and endoscopy capital budgets are progressed, and items
delivered to hospitals in accordance with the agreed timetable by ensuring
purchase orders are raised and chasing delivery and invoice approval.
To support both local and corporate business
units in their preparation of comprehensive and persuasive capital applications
for instrumentation and endoscopy equipment supported by the relevant personnel
in the procurement team.
Demonstrate awareness of regulatory
requirements, taking appropriate action to ensure these requirements are
implemented and adhered to.
Compliance with all company policies and
legislative requirements to include Financial, Health & Safety, Clinical,
Infection Control, and HR related issues in line with the eQMS.
Assist Circle Decontamination achieve its financial and operative
directives on an annual basis in line with the KPIs as set out.
Robust instrumentation and endoscopy capital
budget plans that are fit for purpose for now and the future.
On target orders and delivery, in line with
agreed time scales, of instrumentation and endoscopy items.
Successful submission of capital applications
for instrumentation and endoscopy scopes and equipment.
Successfully functioning instrumentation, power tools and endoscopy
loan Hubs.
Effective collaboration with all involved
stakeholders to achieve standardisation of endoscopy and instrumentation trays
leading to better sharing and utilisation across hospitals.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE?
You can
demonstrate 5+ years of tray set and instrumentation operational experience
preferably within a high-volume operating theatre, other healthcare,
decontamination or procurement service setting.
You are able to identify instruments and
instrument tray sets by name, categorise them correctly and understand what
instrument tray listings itemising instruments would be appropriate.
You have ideally built your experience in a clinical
setting, with first-hand instrumentation and endoscopy knowledge and
experience.
You
understand the dynamics and workings of a sterile services unit, providing
sterile services for instrumentation and endoscope processing.
You have a proven
track record of success working in a similar role.
You bring solid
organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
