Job summary

Senior Physiotherapist - Level 2

Part Time - Fixed Term Contract

Salary: up to £40,625 FTE (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

This is a part timerole for 24 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern. Friday working and one evening required. Remaining hours to be discussed. Ability to go onto the weekend ortho ward rota desirable.

This is to cover a 12 Month Maternity Period.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard. Ensuring excellent patient care is promoted within the hospital
  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for inpatients and outpatients.
  • To provide surgical pre-operative assessment for all patients working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To provide clinical direction for other physiotherapy staff within the team.
  • To provide excellent customer service and promote a professional and caring environment.

Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.

Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.

Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for inpatients and outpatients.

To provide surgical pre-operative assessment for all patients working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.

To provide clinical direction for other physiotherapy staff within the team.

To ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory and best practice frameworks.

To manage a clinical caseload, to the highest standard in every aspect including assessment, treatment and documentation.

To undertake other duties delegated by the Clinical Services Manager - Physiotherapy, and to deputise as required, managing the team in line with Circle Health Group Policies and procedures.

To recognise, support and develop excellence in MDT working across all relevant hospital departments at both this and other Circle Health Group sites.

  • MSK and orthopaedic post op out-patient experience essential
  • Orthopaedic ward experience desirable
  • Chartered Physiotherapist with vast postgraduate general Physiotherapy experience and relevant experience in a more specialist area.

Qualifications

  • BSc Hons physiotherapy
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
