The primary purpose of this role is to work dynamically across the PCNs to which NPC provide support. The role of the PCN Development Coordinator covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of project priorities and to support the wider PCN Team in delivering their day-to-day services to the PCNs across which they work. The post holder will enable the smooth running of projects by helping the team through the delivery of PCN actions and activities, including both routine and project based work. This may include completing ad-hoc work such as reconciliations alongside the ICB, collating information across practices/PCNs and completing project/task based work and preparing reports, for the wider team to action. The post holder will be required to perform administrative duties in the absence of other Team members.
The post holder must have experience in supporting the delivery of projects, including the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication skills. They must have a positive, can-do approach, solve problems with limited guidance, and have the confidence to propose and try new things. The post holder must also be willing to work flexibly, as well as the ability to travel and work across various practice locations.
This role will provide opportunities to develop project management skills.
Main duties of the job
Ultimately, this role is intended to support the PCN Team with delivery of routine and project based work. As is the nature of primary care, much of the work flow is directed by the wider system. As such, the post holder will need to be dynamic and flexible in being responsive to a somewhat unplanned workflow. The post holder may therefore be asked to perform tasks outside of this job description. The post holder will need to be confident in using their initiative, judgement and problem-solving skills to work through tasks effectively and efficiently to identify the best solutions, although there will always be support from the wider PCN Team.
NPCs PCN Team is a small but supportive Team. Being able to proactively develop and foster good relationships within the Team and across PCNs is essential. We strive for the highest standards of work so that we can best support the practices and patient populations we serve. We are looking for a candidate that would be able to positively contribute towards this work environment and culture.
