Job summary
As an Activities Lead at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for residents. You'll be responsible for devising imaginative, fun, and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, with the aim of maximizing the wellbeing, independence, and social engagement of the residents.
Main duties of the job
The Activities Lead role involves being computer literate, working closely with the community engagement team to create community links and showcase the care home, and updating the home's social media platforms. You'll need to be warm, empathetic, and personable, with strong organizational skills and a driven mindset to ensure things get done. Your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community.
