Job summary
This is a weekend position working 2 x 9 hour shifts as a Kitchen Assistant in a Barchester care home. The role involves helping to provide first-class food and hospitality to enable the care home to give residents exceptional all-round care and support. A healthy, nutritious diet is vital to ensuring residents' wellbeing and the Kitchen Assistant plays a crucial role in this.
Main duties of the job
As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll help to produce meals and create a fulfilling dining experience for every resident. You'll be an asset to your colleagues and your impact will reach beyond the kitchen too. There'll be plenty of opportunities for you to get to know the residents, enhance their hospitality experience and develop your skills. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen and during the food preparation process, and should be reliable, considerate and caring in their approach.
