Job summary

As a Driver at a Barchester care home, you'll provide a service that helps us give our residents the best possible care and support. You'll get behind the wheel to make all kinds of journeys involving residents, staff and visitors, and you'll be happy to interact with everyone you drive. You'll also be responsible for keeping the vehicles in top condition.

Main duties of the job

The Driver - Care Home role involves providing transportation services to residents, staff, and visitors of the Barchester Healthcare care home. You will be responsible for driving the vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and roadworthy, and interacting with passengers in a courteous and respectful manner. The role requires a clean driving license, as well as completion of NVQ Level 2 Health & Safety, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), and infection control training.
