Job summary

As a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer with Barchester care homes, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to our residents. You'll work across two different care homes in the region, so flexibility in your working schedule is essential. Your role will involve a range of clinical tasks, leading and inspiring your colleagues, and introducing ideas and changes to enhance the daily lives of both staff and residents.

Main duties of the job

In this Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer role, you'll be responsible for caring for the varying needs of our residents to ensure we deliver exceptional, person-centred care and support. You'll need to respect the dignity and preferences of our residents while carrying out a range of clinical tasks, such as taking blood pressure. As a leader, you'll need to inspire your colleagues and implement ideas and changes that will make every day fulfilling for our staff and residents. Due to the nature of this role, you'll be required to work across two different care homes in the region, which means you'll need to be flexible with your work schedule, including working days, nights, bank holidays, and weekends. A valid driving license and access to your own car are essential for this role.

ABOUT THE ROLEAs Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer with Barchester care homes, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. Always respecting the dignity and preferences of our residents, you'll carry out a range of clinical tasks, including taking blood pressure, for example. You'll need to lead and inspire your colleagues and introduce ideas and changes that will make every day fulfilling for our staff and residents alike. As this is a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer role, you'll work across two different homes in the region (your travel will be paid per mile). This means you'll need to be flexible when it comes to working days and nights, bank holidays and weekends.

This role will cover two homes - Ashchurch View and Elgar Court ( Malvern).

Driving License and access to own car required.

ABOUT YOUYou'll need a Level 2 NVQ or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer. With experience of providing care and support, ideally for older people, you'll know how to monitor and help plan each resident's care, including reviews and risk assessments. Dedicated and compassionate, you'll be a strong communicator and a confident team player who can lead others. We're looking for someone who always seeks out opportunities for further clinical or personal development, and you'll be happy to complete all regulatory and statutory training as well as complying with our own clinical policies and strategies. You'll also need to be comfortable with working some long shifts that could involve standing for extended periods of time.
