Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to join their team. This is a home-based position that will involve travel around a specific region, providing induction and development training to approximately 5 care homes and/or hospitals. The successful candidate will have a passion for their role and the Barchester ethos, and will be responsible for coordinating and delivering training, observing workplace practices, and supporting new team members.

Main duties of the job

The Operational Trainer will be responsible for coordinating and delivering induction and development training to new and existing staff in Barchester's care homes and/or hospitals. This includes planning and publishing training calendars, ensuring employee training files are up-to-date, and providing practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects. The Operational Trainer will also be responsible for arranging induction paperwork and a buddy for new employees, maintaining regular contact with them, and working with Home Managers to implement individual personal development plans.

As one of the initial points of contact between Barchester and a new member of staff, our Trainers should demonstrate passion for their role and the Barchester ethos.
