Job summary
As an Activities Coordinator at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for residents. The role involves devising imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, with the aim of maximizing the wellbeing, independence and social engagement of the residents.
Main duties of the job
The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning and coordinating a range of activities and events for the residents of the care home. This includes getting to know the residents and their families, creating tailored activity programmes, and encouraging both residents and staff to get involved in activities within the home and in the local community. The role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to work empathetically with the residents.
