Job summary
As an Activities Lead at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for residents. You will be responsible for creating community links, showcasing the Home, and updating the home's social media platforms. The role involves devising imaginative, fun, and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, with a focus on maximizing residents' wellbeing, independence, and social engagement.
Main duties of the job
The Activities Lead role involves getting to know the residents and their families, then creating tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone's wellbeing, independence and social engagement. You'll need to be warm, empathetic and personable, with strong organisational skills and a driven mindset. Your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community.
