Job summary
As an Activities Coordinator at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables the delivery of exceptional all-round care and support for the residents. The role involves devising imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, with the aim of maximizing the residents' wellbeing, independence and social engagement.
Main duties of the job
The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for getting to know the residents and their families, and then creating tailored activities programmes focused on their needs and interests. The role requires strong organizational skills, a driven mindset, and the ability to inspire both residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community. Any similar experience would be ideal, but training will be provided to develop the necessary skills.
