Job summary
As a Unit Nurse Manager (General) at a Barchester care home, you'll use your compassion and initiative to make sure our residents get the quality care they deserve. You'll plan, manage and monitor the delivery of nursing that meets all of our residents' needs, implementing person-centred care plans that make a real difference to their day-to-day lives. Main duties of the job
The Unit Nurse Manager (General) role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including planning rotas, recruiting, training and mentoring staff, and building relationships with local regulators and social services. You'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration, and have experience in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments. An up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines, is also important. As a natural leader, you'll have acted as a clinical mentor, supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
