Job summary
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll be responsible for ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment for residents and staff. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, from fixing leaky taps to gardening and grounds maintenance. You'll need hands-on experience in property maintenance, at least one trade skill, and the ability to work independently as well as lead a team.

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support. You can expect plenty of variety as a Head of Maintenance with us, as you'll turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the care home building as well as in the gardens and grounds. You should be comfortable working alone, leading a team and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. We'll also need you to liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of your team.
