Job summary
As a Charge Nurse at a Barchester Care Centre, you'll use your compassion and experience to make sure our teams are delivering the quality care we're known for. You'll provide clinical leadership, set an example by building meaningful relationships with patients, assess their needs, and collaborate with families to create and evaluate care plans. You'll also allocate key workers, orientate new staff, and mentor them to the highest standards of care.
Main duties of the job
To join us as a Charge Nurse, you'll need to be a Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration and supervision qualification. You'll have extensive nursing experience in a mental health setting, especially caring for patients with dementia. As a natural leader, you'll have acted as a clinical mentor, including supporting newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship. You'll have a strong track record of delivering improvements to achieve quality care.
