Job summary
Barchesters Windermere House Independent Mental Health Hospital in Hull have an opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join us on a part time, permanent basis.Windermere House is a 30 bed rehabilitation hospital, with a settled, stable patient group comprising of males with an enduring mental health diagnosis who are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, or on an informal basis. The hospital is proud to have a Good rating with CQC, with excellent local relationships including with community mental health and referrals team.We are offering a 20 hour contract, made up of 16 hours on site, and 4 hours per week to be paid as an on call fee. We are flexible for your on site hours to work to suit you, and call outs are extremely rare.
Required experience and qualifications:
Recognised medical degree, MRCPpsych (or equivalent)Full GMC registrationSection 12 approvalInclusion on the Specialist Register (or equivalent) in general adult psychiatrySignificant experience of assessing and treating patients in a psychiatric settingClinical auditing, risk assessment, and management knowledgeAbility to communicate with a multidisciplinary team and support them to maintain the standard of careFull UK driving licence
