Job summary

To provide expertise in the maintenance of specific databases that support the business and clinical applications. Including reporting, data input and data output. You will need to be able to work independently and be part of a team that covers varied tasks. You will need to review medical records and ensure they are accurate.

This vacancy is part time, 16 hours per week.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Ensure EMIS Web clinical coding is correct and any changes are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Run reports and carry out searches as requested by the Management team and doctors
  • Create and maintain crib sheets showing correct procedure and standards.
  • Managing templates to ensure data entry by users is easy and accurate
  • Completing all CQRS entries in line with enhanced services and other CQRS submissions as required by the relevant authorities.
  • Ensure data is relevant, accurate and informative for patients. Ensuring data is also compliant and meets the requirements of governance and NHS guidelines.
  • Support other team members as needed.
  • Train staff in areas you have expertise in as requested to ensure continuity of tasks completed.
  • Clinical coding from various input sources e.g. Docman letters to support Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) requirements.
  • Run and create searches in EMIS for QOF and research activity.
  • Working with QOF team to book patients into appointments for reviews ensuring information correctly updated in EMIS.
  • Running regular reports to ensure records are accurate and income maximised. Reviewing existing searches to ensure they are checking for the latest coding and creating / amending searches as needed.
  • Liaising with other members of the management team to ensure best practice is followed e.g. use of templates and highlight when this is not happening.
  • Working on adhoc requests from Team Manager.
