We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our independent, forward thinking, organically expanding
practice supported by a small, friendly team of like-minded professionals. We want you to experience support and room to

role is focused on child or adult work or a combination, as our
contracts are often lifespan with a variety of opportunities therein.

practice with two bases in the Midlands. We provide therapeutic services,
assessments, consultancy, supervision, and training, specialising in working
with complex trauma presentations across the lifespan whether that be looked
after and adopted children (LAAC) and families with complex difficulties who
are supported by their local authorities, young people at risk of exploitation and/or

Key Activities:
- To provide psychological support and assistance to qualified psychologists within Phoenix Psychology, including the administration / scoring of psychometric assessments for both children and adults cognitive & capacity assessments, full psychological assessments and ASD assessments; case management and literature reviews / research and audit activity.
- To engage directly with clients (adults and children) as required under the direction of qualified psychologists. This may include direct work, observation and shadowing opportunities.
- To assist qualified psychologists in their formulation of a clients difficulties, and communicating this to other professionals
- To engage in and support all clinical administrative functions within Phoenix Psychology, including collating clinical data; maintaining clinical files; case management; and maintaining psychometric library / resources.
- Participating in the creation and delivery of specialist training programmes.
- Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities in relation to Continuing Professional Development, including attendance at bi-monthly CPD workshops.
General:
You will provide support to all psychological services provided within Phoenix Psychology under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
You will be expected to work at locations in and around our clinic base and in the community as required. There will be travelling involved primarily across Solihull, Coventry, Warwickshire and Birmingham areas therefore having access to a car full time will be required especially as there are no public transport links to Holly Farm.
You will ensure that all services provided are acceptable and accessible to the clients of diverse community backgrounds and non-discriminatory in nature.
You will receive regular clinical professional supervision from a senior clinical psychologist and, where appropriate, other senior professional colleagues. You will also be allocated a mentor from within the core clinical team.
You will advise both your mentor and supervisor on those aspects of the service where psychological and /or organisational matters need addressing.
You will utilise theory, evidence-based literature and research to support evidence based practice in all areas of work.
You will contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of ethical practice, through active participation in development opportunities.
You will input and maintain, appropriate computer and manual information systems, complying with all organisational, data protection and information management requirements.
