Job summary

We are excited to share this opportunity for an experienced Neurodiversity Practitioner to work within our strong multi-disciplinary team based in Kidderminster, providing NHS and independent neurodiversity assessment and support across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and the West Midlands.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated team member to play a key part in furthering our work to provide outstanding multi-disciplinary assessment and care for neurodivergent children and adults.

Main duties of the job

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced professionals working in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work and Psychology services.

The successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of Autism, ADHD, Neurodiversity and Learning Disabilities as well as experience of contributing towards multi-disciplinary assessment and support of neurodivergent children, young people and adults.

They will be motivated, compassionate, and adaptable in their approach. The ability to work flexibly, and to support thoughtful and reflective practice within the team is essential. They will be able to establish positive working relationships with a wide variety of individuals and groups, and will value acceptance and inclusivity.

Applications are particularly welcomed from those who have completed formal training in measures such as the ADOS-2, 3Di, DISCO or DIVA however, training will be provided for those who have not yet accessed this.

There will be opportunities to be involved in ongoing service development and research to ensure that services are accessible and meet the needs of the communities we work with. As the provider of the local NHS Adult and Under 18's Right to Choose pathways, we work closely with commissioners and stakeholders across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Liaison with these networks will be a key part of the role, offering an important opportunity to be at the forefront of the development of local policy and provision.
