Job summary
This
is an exciting opportunity to lead
the clinical team in the remote delivery of safe and effective care to patients
accessing NUPAS services. NUPAS provide consultation,
medical and surgical abortions, contraception and sexual health services.
You will
work closely with the Regional Manager to ensure there is a seamless Patient
focused service ensuring that the experience provided to the patient
simultaneously meets CQC regulations, NUPAS own excellent high standards and
markets the service - encouraging growth.

Main duties of the job
Working with the Head of Nursing and Regional Manager to lead and develop nurse led remote
services which will include the development of a workforce plan.
Working with the Head of Nursing to develop a training plan to support the development
of Nurse led Remote services to include the identification of training needs
through the appraisal process and to develop a training programme to ensure all
staff reach their full potential.
Implement
robust competency assessment frameworks to support new roles, ensuring that all
staff are able to provide a safe Remote services service.
Provide
and manage remote services care as appropriate and in liaison with the Regional
Manager.
Assist
in the development and implementation of guidelines, protocols and remote
services policies and procedures.
Ensure
that resources are used effectively, efficiently, and appropriately.
Working with the Regional Manager to ensure remote services are fully compliant with
the requirements of the Care Quality Commission, the RSOPs for termination
services and NUPAS policies and procedures.
Working with the Regional Manager to ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
Provide leadership and management to remote
services as appropriate and in liaison with the Regional Manager.
Assist in the development and implementation
of guidelines, protocols and remote services policies and procedures.
Provide
line management and support to deputy, ensuring responsibilities are delegated
appropriately.

To assist the Regional Manager to support
and manage the remote services to achieve group objectives and comply with
corporate strategy, using the corporate framework to support the principle of

The post holder will be fully
conversant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and understand the
importance of compliance.
The postholder will assist in the development
of remote services practices in order to meet the requirements of national and
local strategies as identified by the Integrated Care Boards (ICBs).
The
postholder will be experienced in providing appropriate contraceptive and reproductive health and sexual health care
and provide leadership for the development of nurse led services.
The postholder will develop systems, processes,
and procedures in order to meet key performance indicators. Undertaking
audit and acting upon results as required to ensure safe and effective
practices in line with local and national guidelines.
The post holder will maintain and ensure that a high standard of care and
assessment is implemented throughout remote services at NUPAS to minimise risk
of harm to clients.

support of staff in remote services, to promote and encourage safe and
effective remote services at NUPAS.

Essential
- Current Nurse and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration as a Registered Nurse (Sub part 1 of the NMC register)/Registered Midwife Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health/TOP/gynae service.
Desirable
- Professional nurse education teaching qualifications. Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare (FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques i.e IUS/IDU fitter) Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing.
