We have an exciting opportunity for an nurse or midwife to work in our clinics in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
We are looking for nurses who can deliver safe and effective
care of patients wanting to access; consultation for unplanned pregnancy,
surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services for
women. Experience in ultra sound scanning (t/a and t/v) in first and second stage
trimester would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will need to be able to fulfil an integral role within
our multidisciplinary team delivering a confidential abortion service. You will
need to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic. Pro-choice is a
must.
Main duties of the job
To deliver safe and effective care of patients from admission
to discharge in accordance with Healthcare Commission Standards, NMC Guidelines
for Professional Practice and company policies and procedures. Experience in ultra sound scanning (t/a and t/v) in first and second stage trimester would be an advantage but is not essential.

- Current Nurse and or Midwifery Council NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Sub part 1 of the NMC register Registered Midwife. Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health TOP or Gynaecological service.
Desirable
- Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques ie IUS and or IDU fitter and Insertion and removal of Subdermal Implants. SDI Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing. Experience in ultra sound scanning (t/a and t/v) in first and second stage trimester would be an advantage but is not essential.
