Job summary

NUPAS are recruiting for a full-time permanent Quality Assurance Clinical Lead to join their Quality and Safety team. Working 37.5 hours per week across 5 days this role is remote based however travel to clinical locations is essential when required as part of the role.

We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, dynamic and proactive professional with a passion for patient safety, quality, and assurance to join our corporate quality team in this newly created role of Quality Assurance Clinical Lead.

NUPAS comprises of multiple clinical locations between the North and South of England and travel to all of these locations will be required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring high quality, safe and effective care is provided within NUPAS services and support both quality and clinical audit functions across NUPAS.

The post holder will support and be responsible to the Head of Quality and Safety whilst also supporting the Clinical Director.

In the quality assurance of infection control audit, including undertaking an annual infection prevention environmental audit at each location.

In quality assuring our clinical audit programme through a peer audit process.

To prepare audit and assurance reports in line with NUPAS internal audit plans through an independent and objective review enabling evaluation and reporting through NUPASs internal governance structure.

To be responsible for the promotion of positive learning and just culture within NUPAS

To ensure quality in governance provision including that patient safety and non-clinical incidents. Complaints are addressed and action alongside the Patient Safety Specialist.

In overseeing and assuring that any learning recommendations because of incidents, complaints, case reviews are identified, shared, and embedded in line with Patient Safety Incident Response Standards and Oversight Specification.

To be responsible for the development of Medical Devices Safety processes within NUPAS and provide assurances to the Medical Devices Safety Officer through existing NUPAS pathways and governance processes of training and contractual compliance.
