Job responsibilities

Here at Mountain Healthcare, we are looking for a passionate, determined, and resilient individual to join our amazing team as a Governance & Quality Officer.

We are looking for a Governance & Quality Officer who can create a positive culture around health and safety within the company and someone who will actively raise and progress emerging opportunities for innovation.

The focus of the day-to-day work will be to implement practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, of promoting health and safety and safe working practices in the workplace.

This Governance & Quality Officer role is a full time vacancy of 40 hours per week.

Main duties:

  • To communicate effectively at all levels and produce concise user-friendly written documentation.
  • To promote good practice for Governance and Quality, providing advice and guidance on governance issues and standards to all staff and raise awareness of governance issues throughout Mountain.
  • To support with governance duties. This will include but not limited to:
  • Support and monitor the Data Security Protection Tool (DSPT) action plan to ensure there is an evidence base for audit purposes by collating evidence for each DSPT standard.
  • To support the annual submission of the DSPT to NHS Digital, ensuring the final assessment is completed and submitted by the appropriate deadline.
  • To support and ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted in relation to personally identifiable information.
  • To ensure the Mountain has a well-maintained information asset register. To ensure appropriate action is taken where compliance issues are flagged,
  • Promote a data-driven culture across the firm, working with the business stakeholders to educate on the importance of data governance.
  • Produce key artefacts that form the basis of a data governance program.
  • Manage the MH Risk Actions Issues Decisions (RAID) log to ensuring actions are being progressed and key performance indicators (KPIs) are being met. This will include but not limited to:
  • Collating and adding actions from audits
  • Collating and adding actions from all meetings
  • Regular review to ensure actions have owners, dates and are being reviewed. Send chasing emails as required.
  • Seeking evidence of closure of actions and logging any effectiveness checks on the system
  • Undertake audits on applicable areas of the Quality Management System
  • Production of Reports on Quality Assurance
  • To maintain accurate record keeping/documentation and to maintain confidential patient information as per protocols.
  • To participate in training identified as necessary to carry out the functions of the post.
  • To adhere to all Mountain Healthcare policies and procedures
  • Carrying out any other duties as may reasonably be required.
