Main duties of the job
The Role:In this full-time role, youll deliver exceptional, patient-focused care in a dynamic outpatient environment, working closely with a skilled, multidisciplinary team to make a real difference in the lives of patients diagnosed with cancer. What You'll Do:
- Work in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service in Outpatients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice.
- Work closely with our multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust outpatient service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services such as diagnostic, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
- Provide, information and advice to patients who attend outpatients
- Provide support and information to patients to those patients who are diagnosed and receiving treatment for malignancies.

- Proven ability to work effectively as a team player in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Significant clinical experience within Outpatients, including exposure to diagnostic procedures.
- Evidence of service development and improvements to enhance patient care and experience.
- Previous experience working with cancer patients in a clinical setting.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service, including shift work.
- Strong ability to work accurately and reliably under pressure.
- Confidence in decision-making, organising, and prioritising workloads to meet service demands.

- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin.
- Certified in Phlebotomy.
- Immediate Life Support (ILS) trained.
- Evidence of post-registration professional development (desirable).
- Completion of an advanced communications course (desirable).
- Completion of a counselling course (desirable).
- Possession of a teaching qualification (desirable).
- Proficiency in using common software packages and databases (essential).
