Job summary

CBC Workforce Solutions are looking for sessional receptionists/administrators to join their Flexible Workforce Hub. The Flexible Workforce Hub provides short-term, planned and unplanned workforce support to our GP practices throughout Gateshead.

We are a not-for-profit company with a wide and diverse portfolio of services that we deliver as an NHS provider.

We are looking for friendly, reliable, and approachable receptionists, who has patient-facing experience of working in a GP or primary care setting. As a Receptionist/Administrator, you will work on a sessional basis, during practice opening hours undertaking tasks as required by the practice such as booking and amending patient appointments, results and prescription queries, signposting and supporting with general office administration tasks where required. Working knowledge of EMIS is essential.

Main duties of the job

Reception Duties - Effective communication skills, provide information such as results and prescription queries, handling specimens, giving advice and signposting

Telephone Duties- Answer calls, return calls, may also include responding to voicemails

Manage Appointments - Booking and cancelling appointments for patients

Record Management- Data entry, record patient contacts

Administration and Filing- Assisting patients with paperwork, registration and record management
