Service, to lead and coordinate the development and delivery of a
specialist service?

An exciting development opportunity has arisen
for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Spirometry Service, in the post
of Spirometry Service Development Nurse.
The Spirometry Service is a small friendly nurse led team which prides
itself on delivering the highest quality, patient centred care.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Lead
Spirometry Nurse and will be supported with a personal training development
plan.
Your personal development needs will be aligned with the aim of
obtaining the necessary skills, knowledge and accreditation in recognised post
registration qualifications specific to role requirements over a 12 18 month
period; upon successful completion of this you would move from band 5 to being
awarded a band 6 role.
As an organisation we are committed to support your continual
professional development and learning opportunities may be facilitated to work
alongside our Urgent Primary Care services.
Car driver and access to a vehicle is
essential as this post will predominantly be based in the Bede Centre, but
there may be occasions where the post holder will be working into General
Practice sites across the community.

- Level 3 Safeguarding of Adults and Children
- Demonstrates or meet competencies for all mandatory training as required within the policies of the organisation
Desirable
- Trained and accredited to ARTP standards
- Experience and evidence of working with spirometry results
- Evidence of any short course in interpretation of spirometry results
- Post-graduation certificates relating to asthma or COPD
- Teaching and or mentorship qualifications

- At least two years post qualification experience
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
- Special interest in respiratory disease
- Competence/understanding in providing spirometry services in primary care environment
- Good organisational skills and the
