Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MSK Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality musculoskeletal ultrasound services, independently performing and reporting on a wide range of MSK scans, and contributing to the development of our imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MSK ultrasound examinations including joints, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues.
  • Confidently conduct and report on ultrasound-guided injections and diagnostic scans.
  • Interpret and evaluate ultrasound images to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records and reports.
  • Communicate findings effectively with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Support the training and supervision of junior staff, students, or trainees as required.

Essential Requirements

  • BSc in Radiography/Sonography or equivalent qualification.
  • Postgraduate qualification in MSK ultrasound (PGCert/PGDip/MSc).
  • Demonstrable experience in MSK ultrasound with independent reporting.
  • HCPC or SCoR registration (or eligibility).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience in ultrasound-guided interventions.
  • Familiarity with NHS systems and protocols.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites
