The Clinical Manager is
responsible for the oversight of all clinical services, ensuring the delivery
of high quality care for residents, compliance with statutory and legal
requirements in relation to the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated
regulations, including the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated
Activities) Regulations 2010 and the Care Quality Commission (Registration)
Regulations 2009
In the heart of Worcestershire, Pirton Grange provides Specialist Residential Nursing Care & Support for people with Huntingtons, ABI and Physical Disabilities in the main house, and people with Mental Health issues in the Coach House. We support people through structured rehabilitation programmes and positive support. As a specialist centre, we offer independent living through to full nursing needs.
Main duties of the job
As part of
the management team as clinical lead, you will lead by example to assure high
levels of professional performance and conduct, working alongside the
Registered Manager to ensure all staff fulfil the requirements of their job
descriptions and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, acting
as person in charge in the absence of the Manager.
The main purpose of your job is to supervise and
manage the clinical team as well as ensuring that all staff are fulfilling
their roles so that care teams and other staff maintain a safe environment
where residents are as involved in their day to day lives, are treated with
respect, dignity and rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.

Job responsibilities
1.
To effectively manage clinical team to deliver
safe, person centred, specialist care to residents.
2.
To support the development, review of individual
care plans for each resident that is reflective of health and care needs.
3.
To administer medication as prescribed and
oversee the competency processes of others responsible for medication
administration to ensure compliance and appropriate records maintained.
4.
To be responsible for oversight and ordering,
checking in and stock control of medication for residents.
5.
To be responsible for stock control and ordering
of medical products to ensure safe delivery of care and support.
6.
To be alert to residents physical and mental
well-being, immediately dealing with and reporting/escalating any changes in
their condition, liaising with relevant care professionals as required and
ensuring that all records are updated and communicated across the care team.
7.
To oversee and support “Huddle”
meetings and handovers to ensure any matters requiring further action are addressed,
followed up and actioned.
8.
To ensure confidentiality is respected and
maintained at all times in relation to resident information and ensure that
this is followed and understood by all staff.
9.
To be registered with the relevant external
agencies and maintain compliance
10.
To provide clear leadership to Healthcare
professionals and any direct reports in relation to work issues and to offer
guidance, support, and training where required/appropriate.
