Job summary

The General Manager may take and effectively implement all reasonable decisions in order to carry out the role effectively. Drive business development activities in the region

Main duties of the job

Leading and working with the support Functions to achieve the objectives relating to the management and the operational excellence of Diaverum dialysis clinics in the region. This is in terms of budget, purchasing, capabilities, coordinating resources, quality, cost, safety and time delivery. Develop standard way of working across UK.

About the Role

As General Manager you will lead our team of Clinic Managers and drive operational excellence across the Region delivering to budget though the management of capabilities, coordinating resources, quality, cost including purchasing, safety and service delivery. You will ensure that all clinics are performing to exacting standards and in line with our True Care Values.

You will also drive growth through business development activities within the Region.

Delivery will be through close collaboration with Clinical Leads, Governance, Estates, and Central Support functions to ensure seamless operational and clinical alignment, optimising patient safety, experience, and outcomes.

The South region stretches from Salisbury and Eastbourne on the South Coast up to Ipswich, including the London area.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

  • Implement Diaverums strategy in the clinics.
  • Lead the development of the clinics performance to achieve its maximum potential around clinical and financial performance.
  • Cost management - workforce planning and utilisation, routine supplies, maintenance, clinic operating expenses
  • Drive process improvement for productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Optimize the daily management of staff to control costs in strict compliance with budget, law, contracts and regulations.
  • Partner with other functions to ensure local and national regulations are followed, and clinics are well prepared for inspection.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration between clinical and operational teams, ensuring shared accountability for patient and business outcomes.
  • Promote multidisciplinary working and knowledge exchange across the region.
  • Drive organic growth.
  • Lead business continuity for the region
  • Drive improvements in patient satisfaction.

  • Driving operational excellence across geographically dispersed operational units, preferably within a health care or a renal setting.
  • Driving revenue through tender activity and current customer growth.
  • Collaboration across functions and stakeholder management
  • Developing and leading teams resulting in a high-performance culture
  • Cost / budget control and revenue generation
  • Working in a regulated environment

  • Built strong relationships with UK NHS Trusts or influential stakeholders.
