Join Our Peritoneal Nursing Team in Colchester!
Calling All NMC Registered Dialysis Nurses!
At Diaverum, we're excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a dialysis nurse to work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide continuing care and support to all Peritoneal Dialysis patients. Full training on PD will be provided but you would have experience in dialysis.
The PD role is initially part time, 2 days a week split between Colchester and Ipswich. (Whilst the PD role is part time, you can still work full time hours by fulfilling clinical shifts in Colchester clinic or the Home therapies team).
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced renal nurse to establish a new PD service at Colchester hospital for Diaverum.

Your Responsibilities: (include but not limited to)
- To practice within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and adhere to this at all times.
- To adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, working within and accepting responsibility for maintaining agreed levels of competence.
- To assess, plan and evaluate individualised programmes of care for Peritoneal Dialysis patients in partnership with the patient, their carers, and the multi-disciplinary team.
- To support and assist in the health education and self-care of patients and their families.
- To ensure care is delivered in accordance with latest evidence based practice guidelines.
- To ensure that all changes to treatment are communicated to patients and carers over the telephone, checking understanding in a timely fashion.
- To ensure that patients and next of kin are informed and consented as appropriate.
- To maintain up-to-date and comprehensive records of care in accordance with the NMC and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- NMC Registered General Nurse.
- Familiarity with the NMC code of professional conduct.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Be able to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experienced dialysis nurse

Please note that clinical experience in a renal setting is preferred but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training.
