Job summary

The GAP Specialist Midwife will work collaboratively with the project team, supporting Trusts with the development and implementation of the Perinatal Institutes GROW 2.0 software and the GAP programme. Taking this role, you shall work closely with the midwifery and software development teams and and across the whole organisation to drive the project. You will be expected to work using your own initiative, effectively planning time, prioritising tasks and communicating appropriately with colleagues and teams. The candidate will be working closely with clinicians and NHS Trusts across the UK and internationally to support their local programmes .

As a GAP Specialist Midwife, you will be a key member of the team providing project management in the on-going development and implementation of GROW 2.0 and GAP for the NHS, to enhance the quality and safety of maternity care. This will involve:

In collaboration and consultation with key stakeholders, to interpret and document requirements to ensure that training materials are in line with national guidance

To work in collaboration with the software development, clinical and testing teams to ensure the safe and efficient development, testing and deployment of applications and their upgrades

To liaise with sites in the local implementation and evaluation of the project

To assist with local and wider training, education and support for the programme
