Job summary

We are seeking a digitally minded multi-tasker to support both internal and external communications and engagement activities. Support will focus on social media delivery, design and communications administration support, as well as other opportunities to learn and develop in all aspects of communications.

The post holder will need excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to work in a pressurised environment and will be used to working to tight deadlines. The postholder will be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Main duties of the job

Some of the main duties include:

  • Social media developing, creating and delivering content across all of our channels often using Buffer CMS
  • Collating Job vacancies and paid promotion
  • Designing materials Using CANVA
  • Care Group webpage updates and content creation
  • Intranet content creation and updates
  • Writing simple articles
  • Designing bulletins, newsletters etc using Govdelivery
  • All Staff Emails
  • Purchase Orders and Invoicing - using Zahara
  • Social media analytics
  • Mailing lists updates
  • Comms Inbox maintenance and management

Job responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide high quality administrative support, acting as a key point of contact for all communications enquiries, handling or directing them appropriately.
  • To support the whole team in generating engaging content and news items for our various communications channels, including our bulletins, newsletters, social media pages, intranet and public website. This could involve drafting copy or attending events/meetings to take photos and videos.
  • To support teams/services across the organisation to create digital and printed leaflets, posters and other staff/patient information materials, ensuring they comply with our Care Group brand and style guidelines.
  • To update and amend information on the Care Group website and staff intranet.
  • To keep the teams planning grid and social media content calendar up to date, ensuring key announcements, awareness days and events are included.
  • To support the whole team to plan, organise and run internal and external events such as our internal celebratory events etc.
  • To liaise with printers and other suppliers to distribute information materials, i.e., leaflets and posters as required by the team.
  • To work on own initiative on a day-to-day basis, autonomously, escalating any issues that may arise to the most appropriate person in the team.

Other Duties

  • Organise internal and external meetings for the communications team
  • Request quotes from printing companies
  • Create and raise purchase orders
  • Record and upload Care Group Briefing videos to the SharePoint site
  • Upload monthly UTC training videos to the Care Group YouTube channel, alongside any other videos that have been requested to be uploaded
  • Update mailing list monthly; removing leavers and adding new colleagues, allowing them to have access to any all-staff emails and to the bulletins
  • Any other activities as requested by your line manager.
