We have a really exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive service delivering high standard care to children and Families in Waltham Forest.
We work in close partnership with our Family Teams, HENRY in relation to infant feeding and Early Years service.
As one of the 78 National Family Hub pilot sites our partnership working key and we are very proud of developing our innovative and joined up practice in Waltham Forest to ensure the best in service provision to children and Families.
The post holder will focus on the delivery of universal and early intervention services whilst working in partnership with families and other health professionals/agencies, on developing agreed health plans to address their parenting, vulnerability and health needs.
The focus of this role will be on promoting quality and clinical governance at all levels within the team through role modelling, supervision, mentorship.
The post includes a clinical caseload to support the team and to maintain clinical competence and credibility. The post holder will be expected to lead on areas for development in clinical practice, including audit, and developing outcome focussed interventions. The team leader will ensure that there is adequate cover for the workload and facilitate a fair distribution of caseload activity amongst practitioners and the supporting team.

Main duties of the job
- To provide day to management of defined team.
- To participate in the development of an effective team and the development of productive working relationships throughout the organisation.
- To act as a role model to other staff members, actively promoting a culture of high-quality practice.
- To be able to lead a multi skilled, multi professional team. To delegate tasks dependant on skills of the team and co-ordinate rotas of clinical duties for planned leave and help prioritise clinical duties for emergency/unplanned leave.
- To promote good teamwork using excellent communication skills, in order that team objectives are understood and achieved. To lead and promote integrated working across universal and early intervention services.
- To maintain up to date, accurate records which comply with current data collation systems. To provide written reports as requested and complete statistical returns in accordance with policy requirement.
- To assist with regular review of the 0-19 teams development against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). There will be a requirement to help collate data and submit to the Operational Lead on a monthly basis.
- To facilitate the use of information technology and ensure that relevant and up to date information on clinical developments and service activity are provided to agreed timescales.
- To undertake risk assessment and participate in undertaking Impact Analysis
