Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work in Waltham Forest in the 0-19 Children's Universal Service
The Community Nursery Nurses within the Integrated 0 19 Service Health Visiting and School Health and Wellbeing are responsible for the delivery of a range of programmes that support the outcomes identified with the Health Child Programme 0 19. This will include the delivery of the NCMP, vision and hearing screening with Year Reception and Year 6 pupils. Also, the delivery of health promotion mainly within Childrens Centres and primary school setting. Duties and responsibilities of this role includes:
You will provide community nursery nurse service to meet the needs of the 0-19 Universal childrens Service in Waltham Forest service.
You will be able to carry out delegated health assessments, screening of school aged children. Support child health clinics
We are looking for someone who is passionate about with children and families in the Waltham Forest area.
Someone who is willing to be flexible and adapt to changes.
Be responsive and efficient and take pride in their daily work.
Main duties of the job
You will be working within a skill mixed team of Team leads, Health visitors school nurses staff nurses health care support workers and administrators. And the operational management team
There are training and development opportunities within the role.
You will be supported by your team and the management team.
This is a role for a Nursery nurse who is looking for career progression and would like a varied working environment.
This is a full-time post which offers flexible working, however because of the type of role which is face to face with clients, in various clinical settings, a high percentage of the job will be spent in the office/clinical spaces.
