Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with knowledge of working within childrens services.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a multidisciplinary 0-19 skill mix team within a defined geographical area. To develop and deliver universal and early intervention (Tier 1 and 2) services for children aged 0-19 and their families using an integrated model of working across professional and organisational boundaries. The post holder will also be responsible for the safe implementation and on-going development of skill mix within their teams supported by the Operational Lead Integrated Children's Universal and Early intervention Services. This role will play a key part in the development and safe delivery of the 0-19 Services utilising best available evidence to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people especially those from disadvantaged groups. The post holder will focus of this role will be on promoting quality and clinical governance at all levels within the team through role modelling, supervision, mentorship. The post includes a clinical caseload to support the team and to maintain clinical competence and credibility. The post holder will be expected to lead on particular areas for development in clinical practice, including audit, and developing outcome focussed interventions.
Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for organising and prioritising own and others workload in the day-to-day allocation of work.
- To deputise when required in the team managers absence and delegate appropriately to health care assistants.
- To have organisational knowledge relating to Care Group protocols and procedures and adhere to them, particularly administration of medicine and moving and handling.
- To be responsible for providing accurate records of information required by the Care Group for audit purposes.
- To ensure effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, assessing and controlling risk and ensuring residual risks are added to the Care Groupregister.
