Shakespeare Walk-In Centre is seeking a proactive and patient-focused Patient Navigator/Receptionist to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by providing exceptional care in a compassionate environment, where patients are always at the heart of what we do.
Main duties of the job
You will play a key role in delivering a seamless, patient-centric experience through efficient telephone and administrative support. In-house training in patient navigation will be provided to enable you to support and guide patients in accessing the right services and healthcare professionals.
This is a part-time contract, 20 hours per week. Shifts will be discussed and agreed during interview.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls efficiently, managing high patient volumes
- Direct calls and take messages as necessary
- Sort, review, and distribute internal mail
- Process outgoing mail following established procedures
- Manage patient records by pulling, filing, photocopying, and scanning documents into electronic systems
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy and organized, ready for use by colleagues
- Receive and appropriately distribute incoming deliveries
Shakespeare Walk-in Centre, located within the Inner Leeds area, has a diverse patient population who present with a variety of medical and social needs. The Walk-in Centre is open 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm including bank holidays.
