We are looking for a Dermatology Secretary to support our award-winning Leeds Community Dermatology Service, which provides specialist dermatology care to patients across Yorkshire.
Main duties of the job
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Leeds GP Confederation, supporting a collaborative and patient-focused service that makes a real difference in the community.
This is a fixed-term 12 month contract. It is part-time, 27 hours per week; the full-time equivalent for us is 40 hours per week.

Job responsibilities
As our Dermatology Secretary, you will:
- Provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our dermatology clinics.
- Book and manage patient appointments and triage referrals in line with protocols and KPIs.
- Organise clinic rotas and room allocations to support efficient service delivery.
- Liaise with GPs, hospitals, medical students, and other stakeholders.
- Manage clinic letters, hospital referrals (urgent and routine), and electronic referral systems (ERS).
- Support stock management and ordering for clinical rooms.
- Record incidents, complaints, and assist with reporting on service activity and outcomes.
- Attend and minute meetings with internal teams and external partners.
- Support continuous improvement and uphold our values of putting people first, working together, and building a healthier future.
About you We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work in a busy environment.
- Has strong IT skills (experience with SystmOne is desirable).
- Understands NHS processes and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Communicates effectively and builds positive working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- Works well in a team while managing their own workload.
- Is committed to learning and continuous service improvement.
