We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our team at Minehead Medical Centre.
As a GP with OneMedical Group, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and compliant care to our patients and communities.
Full-time (40 hours) and part-time can be considered
Main duties of the job
Were looking for a dedicated General Practitioner (GP) to be part of our dynamic team at Minehead Medical Centre, where every day brings the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centred care alongside an expert multi-disciplinary team. Whether you are an experienced GP or at the beginning of your journey, we want to hear from you!
As a service, we offer 15-minute appointments and patient contacts capped at 25 per day. In recent years, Minehead Medical Centre has undergone refurbishment works to provide additional clinical rooms on the ground floor. With a generous salary of up to £100,000 per annum, and NHS Pension scheme enrolment, GPs can be confident of a strong benefits package with OneMedical Group.

About Minehead Medical Centre
Minehead is a coastal town in Somerset, lying on the south bank of the Bristol Channel and within easy reach of Bristol, Taunton, and Yeovil. The town is surrounded by beautiful scenery, Exmoor national park, and some fantastic walks and cycle routes.
In February 2024, OneMedical Group took over Minehead Medical Centre. We have been working closely with the team and local stakeholders to improve and develop the service. It's an exciting time to join us, as the service continues its transformational journey. As a team were passionate about what we do, making sure that patients are receiving the best care possible and in the right way for them. The Medical Centre is a central hub in the town, with a team there that are as close-knit as the rest of Mineheads population.
We are looking for a dedicated salaried General Practitioner to join our team at Minehead Medical Centre, to help ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all our patients. As a team were passionate about what we do, making sure that patients are receiving the best care possible and in the right way for them.
What youll work on
- A mix of telephone, face to face and home visit appointments
- Understand the patient population to be able to provide high quality care to patients
- Undertake both planned and urgent primary care as required
- Provide patient focussed, evidence-based practice to a high standard
- Supporting the wider MDT to ensure patients with long term and/or complex health conditions are cared for at the right time, by the right clinician
What were looking for
- An individual registered with the GMC and on the GP Specialty register
- Experienced GP with a background in either primary or urgent care
- A GP who is on the performers list
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
- Excellent organisational skills
