Bracknell Urgent Care Centre are looking for a Minor Injuries ACP to join their team of clinicians and deliver together the best care to the patients.in the area.
Main duties of the job
Working across Urgent Care Services, the Minor Injuries ACP will manage acute presentations to the Walk-In Centre, as part of a team of autonomous Practitioners; in addition to using the clinical knowledge and skills to determine urgency and best pathway for patients presenting to the Emergency Departments (streaming).
The Minor Injuries ACP utilises expert clinical and knowledge to manage patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated problems in addition to those with chronic long term conditions.

Job responsibilities
Working within their defined scope of practice, the post holder works as an autonomous Practitioner to assess, diagnose and plan care for patients; including prescribing of medications where qualified to do so, and where clinically indicated.
What we're looking for
- First Level registered Nurse (NMC, ECP), or ACP
- MSc in advanced Clinical Practice or Relevant ANP courses at level 6 or 7, or equivalent in Advanced Physical Assessment skills, Minor Illness/injuries, disease management, etc.
- Evidence of experience and competence within the role
- A Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Teaching qualification i.e., 998 or equivalent (Desirable)
- Satisfactory DBS clearance
- Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations
- Ability to triage (desirable)
- Good understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness & injuries/urgent care centre and the roles that they deliver
