Job summary

Job responsibilities

Are you detaildriven, proactive, and passionate about improving clinical quality and patient experience? Join us as a Quality Improvement Lead, where you will play a central role in supporting the hospital to meet regulatory, contractual, and organisational standards, while driving continuous improvement across clinical and operational services.

In this role, you will support the hospital with the requirements of standard NHS contracts, including CQUIN, ensuring that information submissions are completed accurately, within deadlines, and to the highest quality. Working closely with Elysium Healthcare and external stakeholders across local health communities, you will help to facilitate improvements in clinical quality and enhance the overall experience of patients and families.

You will ensure compliance standards—including those set by the CQC—are maintained, monitored, and embedded across the site. A key part of the role involves developing systems and introducing sustainable changes that enable the hospital to meet regulatory, clinical, quality, and corporate requirements. You will take responsibility for ensuring the audit timetable is met, allocating audits appropriately, and supporting staff to complete, review, and reaudit areas as required. You will also ensure audit findings and actions are discussed within the Clinical Governance Committee so that outcomes translate into meaningful improvement.

This role is a fixed term position covering maternity leave.

What you will be doing:

  • To support the hospital with the requirements within the standard NHS contracts (including CQUIN) ensuring information submissions and recording meets set deadlines and quality
  • Work in partnership with Elysium Healthcare and other Stakeholders across local health communities to facilitate improvements in clinical quality and patient experience
  • Ensure compliance standards are met and maintained including CQC,
  • Develop systems and embed changes to ensure the site meets all regulatory, clinical, quality and corporate requirements
  • Ensure the audit timetable is met and any additional audits are completed as required
  • Allocate and support the completion, review and re-audit of all audits further ensuring these are discussed within the local clinical governance committee and any actions are outcome

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good IT skills
  • To have oversight of compliance and respond to stakeholder queries on compliance
  • Experience in Mental Health services and a solid understanding of governance, safeguarding, and contractual reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging professionals at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher)
  • The ability to manage your workload independently, meet deadlines, and adapt under pressure
  • A flexible, reliable, and team-focused approach

St Neots Neurological Service is located in the centre of town and provides assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and complex care for both males and females suffering from a broad range of neurological conditions, which is provided by a highly experienced team based on site.
