This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior nurse to join Elysium Healthcare as a Practice Development Nurse. Main duties of the job

As a Practice Development Nurse, you will be a senior member of the nursing team, providing clinical leadership and mentorship. Your responsibilities will include delivering education, training, and coaching to registered and non-registered staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. You will work closely with the senior management team to monitor clinical effectiveness and identify opportunities for development. You will champion clinical excellence through quality assurance and improvement initiatives, ensuring measurable advancements in nursing care. Additionally, you will strengthen co-production models, ensuring patients are actively involved in shaping service improvements.

  • Providing education, training, coaching and mentoring of registered and non-registered clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Work with the SMT to monitor clinical effectiveness and opportunities for development from this.

Where you will be working

Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET. You will be working at Thornford Park, a 141 bedded independent hospital which supports service users that require medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services. In addition to these services there is also a PICU Mental Health Service.

The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering people in their recovery and rehabilitation. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder, and females and males in a PICU service.
