What you will be doing
As a qualified RMN/RNLD you will provide a high profile, visible clinical leadership and be a key player in developing our nursing practices. You will promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all service users, employees and visitors. You will ensure that standards of patient care are maintained at all times within the parameters of operational policies and governing legislation. Your role will be fundamental for:

Responsibilities include:
- Providing education, training, coaching and mentoring of registered and non-registered clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Work with the SMT to monitor clinical effectiveness and opportunities for development from this.
- Champion clinical excellence using quality assurance and quality improvement, ensuring measurable advancements in nursing care.
- Strengthen coproduction models, ensuring patients are actively involved in shaping service improvements.
- Translate learning into sustainable change.

Where you will be working
Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET. You will be working at Thornford Park, a 141 bedded independent hospital which supports service users that require medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services. In addition to these services there is also a PICU Mental Health Service.
The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering people in their recovery and rehabilitation. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder, and females and males in a PICU service.
