As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will empower recovery and deliver supervision to staff across the ward to deliver great healthcare, and manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within a ward or unit, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation, and operational policies and meets quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
Deputising for the Ward Manager in co-ordinating the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment with 24-hour responsibility for staffing.
Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care.
Promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees, and visitors.
Identify and evaluate potential improvements to the service
Support and work with others to help them understand the need for change and adapt to it
Evaluate the extent to which legislation and organisational policies and procedures on health, safety and risk management have been implemented and ensure compliance across the service
Investigate any actual or potential health, safety or security incidents and takes the required action
The Senior Registered Nurse position is a full-time position, with most hours will be worked on a shift system covering 13 days across each 28-day period.
To be successful, you will need:
A relevant nursing qualification and registration (RMN, RNLD)
Hands-on clinical experience and relevant experience in a similar environment
A positive attitude and naturally caring and compassionate
A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
Proven track record of team leadership skills

Where you will be working
Location: Emerald Place Clinic, Charlwood
Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Elysium Healthcare are working in partnership to provide a new mental health inpatient service for young people in Surrey in a new purpose-built unit. Emerald Place Clinic is available solely for NHS funded care and treatment and the partnership brings together complementary expertise and best practice to jointly manage the inpatient unit and deliver a high-quality service for young people.
Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs. These could include mental health conditions such as mood disorders and acute psychosis. Additionally young people may have co-existing additional needs such as neurodevelopmental disorders, including mild learning disabilities or autism. A young person could also be admitted if they have disordered eating.
