Job Title: Occupational Therapist Specialist Mental Health Services Salary: Up to 45K depending on experience/£9,000 pro rata Hours: 8 hours 1 day per week Locations: Cambian Merida- Newmarket The Cambian Group, the UKs largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Self-employed Occupational Therapist to carry out Ad-Hoc assessments and make recommendations.
Main duties of the job
The Occupational Therapist will support the wider MDT, including psychiatrist, psychologist, Mental Health Practitioner, education and care staff team. We are seeking an experienced OT with CAMHS experience to support CYP to focus on enhancing their motivation to participate in everyday life, to promote the value of occupation and activity to assist in achieving increased independence in life skills, including; problem-solving skills, motor skills and skills in communication and interaction. Essential: BSc or an Msc in Occupational Therapy Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Registered with COT Demonstrate an interest in service development Have a licence and access to own transport. Be a strong team player. Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.

Our services have a specific focus on individuals who present with high severity needs. We provide a broad range of specialist services across England. These services include specialist education schools and colleges for both day and residential learners, residential care homes and a therapeutic fostering service. Our specialist education schools and colleges support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger Syndrome (AS), moderate to severe learning disabilities, associated challenging behaviours and complex needs. Our specialist residential care homes support children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and associated complex needs. We provide care, therapy and education for a discrete cohort of needs within these homes; this includes provisions for children who have experienced complex trauma (neglect and abuse), those who have been sexually exploited, and those with a learning disability. These homes are all supported by specialists schools to support their individual educational needs. We also run a therapeutic fostering service through which we are able to support children with a variety of complex needs within a family environment
