Job summary
An opportunity exists for a Full Time experienced HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist who will be responsible for the delegated tasks required for the delivery of a fit-for-purpose medical laboratory service. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced biomedical scientist with good technical skills, excellent communication skills and high quality standards to be part of an energetic, highly motivated and dynamic team to provide an efficient and effective service to our patients.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a team responsible for the day to day running of the Clinical Biochemistry/Haematology and BT sections and provide a service of the highest standard to our service users. The department has state of the art Roche automation and has an impressive portfolio of routine testing. The site works closely with our specialist hub laboratories located at Manchester and the Halo to deliver a high-quality service leading to enhanced patient care.
The Laboratory is responsible for servicing the Biochemistry, Haematology, BT and Microbiology pathology needs for Ross Hall Hospital, Kings Park hospital in Stirling and the Braehead Clinic. We are UKAS accredited and a recognised HCPC / IBMS training laboratory for both registration and specialist portfolios.
You will be working 37.5 hrs per week on a shift pattern which includes early, late and on call including weekends on a rotational basis .
