Job summary
The successful candidate for the Ward Managers position at Waterloo Manor must be highly motivated, dynamic, and able to meet and achieve a high standard of care within at times a challenging environment.
You will be responsible for the day to day clinical and operational management of the ward, ensuring all internal and external compliance is met. Working closely with the MDT and Director of clinical services.
Candidates must have experience within an inpatient setting and hold the required qualifications. Excellent communication, documentation and strong leadership ability is essential to provide and uphold standards and values of In mind Healthcare.
The successful candidate will promote the service delivery of care , utilising leadership, robust processes and structures whilst looking to review, enhance and implement patient care to a high standard.
Main duties of the job
As the Ward Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for patients with Personality Disorder, Mental illness and Mild to moderate Learning Disabilities .
Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership and Team Management: Provide clear leadership to the Nursing team, efficiently managing shifts for optimal patient care.
Patient-Centered Care: Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships to enhance patient engagement, ensuring individual needs are met.
Compliance and Ethical Practice: Adhere to all codes of conduct, standards, and legislation. Respect the rights of others and promote ethical practice at all times.
Care Planning and Assessment: Contribute to patient assessments, collaborate with individuals to formulate care plans, and monitor patient progress.
Education and Mentorship: Mentor and support student nurses and other team members, contributing to their professional development.
Professional Development: Promote continuous professional development within the team, ensuring they are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.

Waterloo Manor part of Inmind Healthcare is gender specific, and the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdom which provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health & disorders. The Hospital provides low secure, high dependency PICU and rehabilitation services.
Our focus is on treating female patients with complex and enduring mental health conditions in the least restrictive environment who may or may not be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. We have created a whole pathway of care for individuals to enable maintenance of therapeutic relationships to enhance recovery and continuity of care.
We have a highly experienced team who advocate the concept of recovery and provide a person centered approach which is aimed at rehabilitating patients to their optimum level of functioning thereby reducing their need for future inpatient care and reducing length of stay in hospital.
